The  Lean Startup methodology was first introduced by Eric Reiss in his book “The Lean Startup: How Today's Entrepreneurs Use Continuous Innovation to Create Radically Successful Business”. The idea is based on helping startups develop products/services in a simplified manner, with the end goal of shortening their product development cycle and rapidly testing and discovering whether their proposed business idea is feasible.

CEO of Acumen Consulting, Inji Amr is part of the Lean Startup Ambassador Program a collective of Lean Startup practitioners who volunteer to enhance the startup ecosystems within their communities, by sharing their expertise on  the Lean Startup method. The Ambassadors collaborate with Lean Startup Co. in order to host periodic Lean Startup Nights. These usually consist of small events in the form of keynotes, panels, and interactive exercises aimed at introducing their local business communities to the lean methodology.

In 2019, Inji  Amr hosted a total of three Lean Startup Nights gathering lean startup veterans  from a variety of business backgrounds. In fall of 2019, Inji Amr also participated in the Lean Startup Conference in San Francisco where she had the opportunity to chat to Eric Reiss on how the Lean Startup methodology can best be applied to the Middle Eastern context.

The photos below showcase some of the speakers who have taken part in Acumen’s past Lean Startup events:
